The Electro-Voice EKX-18SP powered subwoofer, designed to provide chest-thumping bass for live performance and installed applications. This 18" subwoofer combines a robust 1,300W amplifier with Electro-Voice´s legendary transducer technology to deliver up to 134 dB of deep, distortion-free low frequency response.

Massive 18" Woofer and 1,300W Amplifier

At the heart of the EKX-18SP is an 18" EVS-18C woofer, engineered by Electro-Voice to provide tight, accurate bass with minimal power compression. This woofer is driven by a 1,300W Class-D amplifier, giving the EKX-18SP the power and headroom to produce a solid bass foundation for any venue.

Superior Bass Extension and Low Distortion

The EKX-18SP´s large slot ports and tuned enclosure are optimized for maximum low-frequency output with minimal distortion. This design, combined with the EVS-18C´s 4" voice coil and dual spiders, allows the EKX-18SP to dig deep and extend bass response lower than comparable powered subs.

Reduced Stage Noise and Digital Signal Processing

Electro-Voice´s exclusive Cardioid Control Technology provides a 35 dB reduction in stage noise by controlling the dispersion of rear-facing low frequencies. The EKX-18SP also includes digital signal processing which provides convenient presets, system-match crossovers for use with EKX tops and protection limiting.

Road-Ready Design

The EKX-18SP´s 15 mm. plywood enclosure with internal bracing is built to handle the rigors of live touring. Multiple mounting points allow for pole-mounting or suspension and recessed handles make transporting this 91lb. subwoofer easy.
